Committees
Join Us! Edmonds Volunteer
We host our events with the help of our amazing committee volunteers. They work year-round to make sure Edmonds experiences amazing garden events each Summer!
Garden Tour Committee
By far our most popular event, this committee’s members are busy year-round finding gardens, developing materials, publicizing the event, and coordinating volunteers, photographers, musicians, and artists. We are currently recruiting new members for this year’s Tour event. Garden Tour Page.
Garden Recognition
This annual event occurs throughout the month of June. Volunteers scout neighborhoods and businesses looking for front yard gardens & colorful storefront displays to recognize with a ‘flag.’ We are currently recruiting volunteers for this year’s Recognition activity. Garden Recognition Page.
Kids Plant Day
This annual event takes place on the Saturday before Mother’s Day at the Edmonds Farmers Market and is great fun for kids. This committee coordinates the materials, the space at the Farmers Market, and volunteers. Kids Plant Page.
School Projects
Each year this group looks for schools in the Edmonds school district with an educational gardening project that needs help with funding. These funds can go toward a new garden project or enhancing an existing garden. We are currently looking for schools with garden projects. Garden Grants for Kids.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors includes Officers, Committee Chairs and At-Large Members. These individuals would have an interest in planning events, projects, fundraising, communications, or finance. We are currently recruiting new members for our Board of Directors.
Communications Committee
This committee is involved in promoting Edmonds in Bloom through numerous venues to ensure our events and projects are visible and celebrated with the community. Responsible for our website, print collateral, press releases, and social media pages: Facebook and Instagram.
Raffle Committee
Proceeds from the Raffle help Edmonds in Bloom to fund horticulture scholarships, school garden projects, and various beautification projects around Edmonds. This year’s projects include new containers/rock gardens at 5th & Dayton corners, a new fence at the City Park, landscape lighting at Edmonds Center for the Arts, and hoop house improvements at Kruckeberg Botanical Garden. The raffle is an important fundraiser to help us fund these projects.
