Seaview Elementary Kindergarteners/1st graders and parent volunteers had a wonderful time planting in the rain and learning about companion planting. They chose a dedicated raised bed in the school courtyard to plant variations of pink, red, yellow, and white tulips. They added garlic and onions to help ward off predators such as squirrels! The kids loved picking out their bulbs to plant and sharing stories of their gardening adventures.

Other Funding Opportunities

Teach your students about sustainability. Get them to connect with nature. Grow lush school gardens. And do it for... FREE! How? With the Subpod schools campaign, Subpod is giving you the opportunity to receive a full composting setup at no cost. It includes a Subpod, a raised garden bed and an aerator!

You have to rally 300 supporters who are behind your push to start composting at your school with Subpod. All the supporters have to do is sign up with their first and last name and enter their email address. Every signup is one step closer to the 300 supporters needed.

When you reach 300 supporters, you’ve made it! Subpod will donate a complete Subpod composting system, plus a raised garden bed and an aerator to your school.

Deadline: Rolling
