Edmonds Garden Recognition
June is Garden Recognition month!
Have you spotted the Edmonds in Bloom flags around town? This June, scores of Edmonds in Bloom volunteers will canvass the residential areas and business areas looking for lovely front yard gardens and colorful storefronts.
Last year nearly 150 “Edmonds in Bloom” flags sprouted in pots, planting beds, and verdant gardens. During the month of June, teams of volunteers will visit neighborhoods and businesses and talk to homeowners and business owners about placing Edmonds in Bloom flags in their yards, displays or containers. Edmonds in Bloom will also seek permission to take photographs for use on its website (no address will be included).
It is our way of saying Thank You to all the local gardeners and business owners for helping to make Edmonds beautiful! Be sure to look for the flags this summer and pause a moment to appreciate the efforts of adding to the beauty of Edmonds.
“Thanks for your visit yesterday. We’ll enjoy the flag in our garden.”
“We are thrilled to receive the Edmonds in Bloom banner. Sorry we weren’t home to receive you and appreciate this honor very much. My husband will be so happy when he finds out. He puts a lot of time into our yard.”
