Our Garden Hosts are Talking!

Being a Garden Host is an experience like no other.  It offers participants an opportunity to share their vision and inspiration with other gardeners and community members.  How do past Garden Hosts rate their experience on the Tour?  We invited them to share their impressions and thoughts with you.

It was the most organized and well-run event I have ever participated in.  Everyone felt welcome and appreciated.  It was a lot of fun.  All of the gardens this year were stunning!!

The Garden Tour committee and the volunteers that donated their time and efforts made the Garden Tour go so smoothly and successfully this year.  My husband and I felt like it was a such a positive experience and enjoyed sharing our garden and all the positive feedback.  We’re so glad to be a part of the Edmonds community and we appreciate how hard everyone worked to make the tour happen.  

The guests were extremely careful to stay on the path and respectful of the plantings and my garden didn’t suffer any damage at all.

Having been a Garden Tour Host in the past, I had some idea as what to expect.  I felt that this Garden Tour was run in a most professional manner.  The volunteers who helped guide people throughout the day were great.  There was no pressure on me or Kari to do anything other than meet and greet and answer questions.  From my prospective it was a great experience.

We hosted people on the 2021 tour and found everyone to be respectful of our property, complementary and interested in gardening.

We had a lovely time as Garden Tour hosts, and enjoyed talking with so many avid gardeners in our community. The day went by so quickly as we greeted friends, met new people, and shared a common bond for plants, projects, and works in progress. To quote Henry James, “Summer afternoon--summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.” What better way to spend a summer afternoon than with guests in the garden?
